You might have already learnt about the coming of "Don Bosco's Relics" to our region. If not, you may want to read some initial material that I posted on the website and you may download by simply clicking this hotlink. I think more and probably better materials are coming soon.
May I encourage you to utilize this golden opportunity for member formation? Let all them understand and appreciate the meaning behind the pilgrim casket... not to make it magical but treat it as "true visit" of Don Bosco; and what is more, trigger rethinking of the vocation as Salesiani Cooperatori, re-energize the enthusiasm towards Salesian Spirit, walking with Don Bosco, etc. Let me share with you what my province is doing to prepare our members, in particular spiritually to receive the visitation of Don Bosco. First, a formation workshop has been scheduled on Dec. 12; and it will be followed by a retreat tentatively planned on Jan. 22-23, 2011, which is most likely open to all Catholics in Hong Kong. Then, a follow-up workshop in Feb. is going to perform a harder exercise to strengthen members' spirit. Eventually, I believe this formation process will bring us all to the next level of commitment to Salesianity and getting closer to a Salesian!
