On 22nd August 2010, at the 10:30 am Sunday Mass, Rev. Fr. Metz Osvaldo the parish priest for Visitation Chapel (Tung Chung, Lantau Island of Hong Kong) announced the inauguration of “Visitation Chapel Friends of Don Bosco” and preside over the sending of the first leadership council himself.  The council consists of 5 members – Coordinator, Administrator, Secretary, Programmer, and Advisor who has to be a Salesian Cooperator.  As a patron to FDB, the Salesian Cooperators China Province offers financial as well as spiritual support.  There were some 50 members who came on purpose to witness the historical moment; and what is more, they brought hand-made food to share with the parish members there after the Mass. Meanwhile, not only the famous movie “Mission to Love” being played, it came the SDB Provincial Rev. Fr. Simon Lam to personally elaborate how Don Bosco loved the young and even dedicated his whole life to save the soul of the young. This newly formed youth group is indeed to serve the young in Tung Chung area, with particular concern about those from family of ethnic minorities.  Any youngster of age 12-25, Catholics and non-Catholics are welcome all welcome to join only if they like Don Bosco, want to share his love and joy.
